Principal's Welcome

Dear Camerado Students and Parents,

Welcome to the 2024-2025 school year!  I am honored and excited to return for my ninth year as the proud principal of Camerado Springs Middle School.  I eagerly anticipate another successful year partnering with the staff and community to ensure our students have an exceptional educational experience.  Our commitment at Camerado Springs is to provide a safe and intellectually challenging environment that will empower students to become innovative thinkers, creative problem solvers and inspired learners prepared to thrive in the twenty-first century.  

Camerado Springs is an International Baccalaureate (IB) World School for the Middle Years Program (MYP), 6th-8th Grade.  Our students learn international mindedness by taking a world language class and learning from a global perspective.  IB focuses on developing caring and open-minded students who take action to make the world a more peaceful place.  CSMS provides a rigorous curriculum based on the California Content Standards, and we offer multiple opportunities for students to be successful.  Classroom time is devoted to learning and instructional minutes are sacred.  A variety of teaching strategies are used to engage student interest and address the unique learning style of each student providing a deeper understanding of the curriculum.  Whether students are interested in athletics, the arts, technology, or leadership, they will find an outlet for their talents.  We are here to meet the needs of each student academically, physically, socially, and emotionally.

CSMS encourages its students to get involved and stay involved.  We believe it is important to be connected to the school through positive relationships, a sense of community, and participation in extracurricular opportunities from the first day of school to the last.  This is the message students will hear often.

Our staff recognizes the role they play in helping your children reach their full potential, and they do not take the responsibility lightly.  We truly believe "it's all about the kids," and that all students can be successful.  It's these beliefs that drive the work they do on a daily basis.  Parent involvement is vital to your children's success, and we ask that you continue to play an active role in their education.
